Faith Hill More Fierce Than Ever During Sunday Night Football

Faith Hill More Fierce Than Ever During Sunday Night Football

Faith Hill Sunday Night Football kicked off tonight, much to the excitement of football fans across the land. Along with all the traditional beer and junk food that usually accompanies the season's start in most households, another Sunday night staple made an appearance as well -- Faith Hill singing the show's theme song.

For the fifth year running she reprised "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" -- you know, the one to the tune of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You" that will be stuck in your head for days. Looking amazing and sounding strong, she showed us why they keep asking her back for more. Watch for yourself.

One could perhaps argue that they should spice things up, maybe bring in some new blood after all this time, but when she does it that well, there's really no reason to do so. The black leather in the first shots looks incredible on her, and I'd argue that she looks even better than she ever has.
In a statement last week, producer Fred Gaudelli said, "Faith Hill has become a staple of 'Sunday Night Football, and in year five she's better than ever." I'd say he's right. I'm not a football fan (at all!), but I am a huge fan of Hill and her music, so at least her contribution each week makes the whole thing a little more bearable.
For her part, however, Hill seems to be a true fan, and her passion is likely what makes her such a great fit for the job.
I wait all year for ‘Sunday Night [Football]. Somehow the season wouldn't feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC/Sunday Night Football over the summer [when we record and film the open]. It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter.
What do you think of Faith Hill's reprisal of "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" this year? Do you wish someone else would take over and spice it up ?
